Senior IT System Engineer

We are looking for a professional IT System Engineer who is ready to join our small and friendly team. The company is growing at a rapid pace and we would like you to grow with us! There are plenty of challenges and many learning opportunities. Aside of managing a core infrastructure, you will also be working alongside our senior developers and our key clients. This is simply NOT another IT role. This is an opportunity that will open many doors for you.

Skill Required:

  • Solid working knowledge and understanding of Windows server environments
  • Experience in web farm set up and administration (IIS, IIS 7.0), and database setup and management (MS-SQL)
  • Strong expertise in all facets of SQL Server (preferred SQL 2005, 2008) and general administration of SQL Server including:
    • T-SQL
    • Backup
    • Replication
    • Indexing
  • Active Directory and DNS setup and administration
  • Solid experience of virtualisation technologies, such as VMWare and Hyper-V
  • A minimum of at least three years working in a similar environment or equivalent transferable skills
  • The ability to work well with customers (at both technical and business level) and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently when required and be
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills
  • Strong data, numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to liaise with third party support / providers

Ideal candidate will have a good balance of

  • IT infrastructure management and implementation
  • Customer support
  • Occasional on call duty for emergency change control
  • 3+ years relevant experience
